Unreconciled Discovered Assets Sample Map File

An unreconciled discovered asset is a hardware asset that was detected in your network by a discovery tool, but the asset could not be matched (reconciled) with any owned asset. Unreconciled discovered assets have unique identifiers, such as serial numbers, system models, or operating systems. Unreconciled discovered asset records include information about the following items:

• Hardware asset configuration
• Availability status of the hardware asset

The Unreconciled Discovered Assets map file and data file show you how to map basic unreconciled discovered data. The mapping creates 26 hardware assets, associated models, companies, and contacts.

You can find the sample map files, with their corresponding sample data files, in the following location:

C:\Program Files\CA\ITAM\Data Importer\Samples

Important! Use a test database (not a production database) when you load sample data with the sample mapping files. You cannot remove test data easily after it is imported into your database.
