Sample Map File Descriptions

The sample map files and corresponding data files contain all the settings and data to map and import a defined set of CA APM data objects. Each sample file maps and imports a different CA APM object. For example, the software mapping.map file (with the corresponding software.csv data file) shows you how to map and import software asset data, including associated models, companies, and costs.

You can find the sample map files, with their corresponding sample data files, in the following location:

C:\Program Files\CA\ITAM\Data Importer\Samples

Important! Use a test database (not a production database) when you load sample data with the sample mapping files. You cannot remove test data easily after it is imported into your database.
