Delete a List Item

You can delete a list item that users should not select when managing objects. For example, a cost center and general ledger code should not be used for accounting and budgeting. You delete the cost center and general ledger code so users cannot select the items when defining an asset.

Important! When you delete a list item, users cannot select the item when defining an object. Instead of deleting the list item, you can make the list item inactive. That way, if you need the list item in the future, you can make the item active again and you will not have to redefine the item.

To delete a list item

  1. Click Directory, List Management.
  2. On the left, select the list you want to manage.
  3. Click the Mark for Deletion icon next to the list item you want to delete.
  4. Click Save.

Users cannot select the list item when managing objects.
