Define the Class and Subclass Lists for an Asset Family

You can define the class and subclass lists for an asset family to help make it easier for users to select the correct information when defining models and assets.

To define the class and subclass list items

1. Click Directory, List Management.
2. On the left, click Asset Lists, Asset Family.
3. Complete the following steps to define the class list:
   1. Click the Edit Record icon next to the asset family for which you want to define the class.
   2. Click the Class List hyperlink.
   3. Define the class record for the asset family.
   4. Click Save.
4. Complete the following steps to define the subclass list:
   1. Click the Edit Record icon next to the class record for which you want to define the subclass.
   2. Click the Subclass List hyperlink.
   3. Define the subclass record for the asset family.
   4. Click Save.

   When entering the class and subclass for an asset family, users can select the items from the lists.
