Import CA IdentityMinder Data to CA GovernanceMinder

After you define the connector between CA IdentityMinder and CA GovernanceMinder, you can import information about users, roles, and endpoint privileges into CA GovernanceMinder. Role engineers can then analyze that data using various tools in CA GovernanceMinder. Once the role engineers determine the role structure, they can apply changes, based on that structure, to CA IdentityMinder.

You import data from endpoints managed by CA IdentityMinder by defining connector jobs in the CA GovernanceMinder portal. You can then run a connector job, or define a schedule that automatically runs a job at specified intervals.

Note: For more information about running an import connector job, see the CA GovernanceMinder Configuration Guide.

The import creates the configuration files (CFG) you specified in the universe and populates them with CA IdentityMinder data. Also after import, the connection object between CA IdentityMinder and CA GovernanceMinder is automatically created.
