Define the General Fill Options

You use the General Fill Editor dialog to define the fill options in the following scenarios:

To define general fill options

  1. Click Themes on the View menu.

    The Theme Editor opens.

  2. Select a theme other than the Default and Classic themes and then navigate to the Default tab.
  3. Click Theme Editor Default Fill Tool in the Fill Options field.

    The General Fill Editor dialog opens.

  4. Work with the following options:
    Fill Style

    Specifies the style of fill for the object. Select from the drop-down list; valid values are Solid, Pattern, Bitmap, and Gradient.

    Starting Color

    Specifies the starting color of the fill style. Click Theme Editor Fill Color to open the color grid and select a color of your choice.

    Ending Color

    Specifies the ending color of the fill style. Click Theme Editor Fill Color to open the color grid and select a color of your choice.

    Gradient Style

    Specifies the gradient style you want to use to fill color in the object. Select from the drop-down; valid values are Linear, Center, Cross, and Shape.

    Gradient Slope

    Specifies the angle in which you want the gradient to slope. Enter a number or use the arrow icons to increase or decrease the default number.

    Gradient Blend

    Specifies the position and blend factor for the gradient. Click Theme Editor Fill Color to open the Blend Editor and specify the values for Position and Blend Factor.

    Transparency

    Specifies the transparency for the gradient blend position. Enter a number or use the arrow icons to increase or decrease the default number.

  5. Click Close.

    The General Fill Editor dialog closes.
