Reason:
During a restore to an existing data set allocation on volume (vvv), CADisk was unable to retrieve the VTOC entry for the data set from the volume. Return code (rrr) is the error code returned from the OBTAIN macro used to retrieve it. Verify that the data set exists on the specified volume. For OBTAIN return code explanations to further aid in problem determination, see the appendix "Common Return Codes."
When SMS-controlled data sets are restored to an explicitly named volume, this message is preceded by dynamic allocation errors that indicate a duplicate data set. If sysparm RESCRCAT is specified with the default value of N, this condition will occur. If the sysparm is specified with a value of Y, the data set will be restored under SMS control.
Action:
For cases where SMS-controlled data sets are being restored to an explicitly named volume, this message is proceeded by dynamic allocation errors indicating an existing duplicate data set. If sysparm RESCRCAT is set to N, the default, this condition will occur. If the sysparm is set to Y, the data set will be restored under SMS control.
