Apply the DNA File

To apply the DNA file

  1. Use Windows Explorer to locate the DNA you created.

    For this example, look for C:\RedirectionExample.exe.

  2. Double-click RedirectionExample.exe.

    CA DMM launches and automatically applies the DNA file.

  3. Page through the log section to identify any warnings or errors that occurred when CA DMM applied the DNA file.
  4. Exit CA DMM.

    A message box asks if you want to restart now, or later.

  5. Click later.
  6. In Windows Explorer, navigate to C:\ and locate the Redirected Files folder. This folder contains all the files you captured located in this central file.

    Note: You might have to refresh Windows Explorer. Press F5 to update the display.

    You have successfully redirected files and folders using a self-extracting DNA file.
