Assign Passwords

You can assign a password or the rules to generate a new password on the destination.

Follow these steps:

  1. Click Passwords on the User Destinations page.

    The Password option for a new account dialog appears with the following options.

    Use no passwords

    Indicates that you do not want to change the password of the user on the destination system.

    Use a common password

    Indicates that you want to assign a common password for all users on the destination system. You can specify the common password by clicking Specify.

    Important! Use a common password only if you select the option Users must change password at next logon.

    Use randomly generated passwords

    Indicates that you want CA DMM to assign a password for the destination users.

    Click Specify to generate a password.

    Note: If you select randomly generated passwords, ensure that you enter the location to save the password log. The default location of the password log is the users My Documents folder. Ensure that you change the location.

  2. Click OK.

    The changes are saved.
