During a real-time migration, you can password-protect the source system. Setting a password is not required. Click Next if you do not want to set a password.
Note: There is no system access restriction set by the CA DMM server. Any client to the source system has full access to all of the source's files and folders.
Assigning a password protects the source system from unauthorized migrations.
We highly recommend that you set a unique password for the server and close CA DMM after the migration is completed. After setting a password for the CA DMM server, the server listens for any CA DMM client connection request.
The following field appears on the page:
Displays the Password dialog in which you can enter a password.
Provides the option to encrypt the data exchanged in a real-time migration on the source computer.
Note: If you enable the encryption option on the source computer, you must enable it on the destination computer also.
