CA DMM

Welcome to CA DMM. CA DMM is an application for system migration. It supports two major categories of system migration:

Deferred Migrations

A DNA file is created from a source system (the old computer), and then applied on the destination system (the new computer) at a later time. DNA files can include system settings, application settings, and data for individual or multiple users.

Real-time Migrations

The source system (the old computer) and the destination system (the new computer) are located on a common network, or are directly connected with a crossover cable. The two systems are connected in real time, and the DNA is moved directly from the source to the destination with no intermediary storage. Real-time migration is supported on both IPv4 and IPv6 environments.

With either of these migration methods, you can install CA DMM on the system’s hard drive or access it from a central network location to use an automated migration process.

Whether migrating to Windows 2000 or XP, replacing or refreshing machines, or building a desktop recovery process, CA DMM lets enterprise-level organizations do the following:

CA DMM provides tools to support the movement of custom, proprietary, and vertical applications.
