Copy the Internet Explorer Installer to the Migration Directory

You must copy the Internet Explorer installer to the Migration directory if you cannot specify a network that is not available to all computers that you want to migrate.

To copy the Internet Explorer installer to the Migration directory

  1. Create a subdirectory named IEInstaller in the DirectorMigration subdirectory.

    For example: ...\DirectorMigration\IEInstaller

  2. Copy the IE installer to the IEInstaller subdirectory.
  3. Browse to the migration directory and open the source .dmx file.

    …\DirectorMigration\Source\DirectorSource.dmx

  4. Double-click the DirectorSource.dmx file.

    DMM Options Editor opens displaying the contents of the .dmx file.

  5. Expand the Migration branch and click Director Options.

    The Director Options page opens on the right side of the window.

  6. Scroll down to the option Path to the Internet Explorer Installer, and then enter the path to the IEInstaller that you created in steps 1 and 2.

    You can also set the other Internet Explorer options if you choose. For help on these options, place your mouse over the field title.

  7. Repeat these steps for the destination .dmx file located in DirectorMigration\Destination\DirectorDestination.dmx
  8. Click the Save toolbar button.
