- If a path or file name contains any spaces, the path or file name must be enclosed in quotes.
- Command line options are not case-sensitive.
- A hyphen can be substituted for the forward slash (/), but one or the other must separate options and be preceded by a space.
Both of the following are valid command lines:
AutoDNA.exe /?
AutoDNA.exe -?
- Parameters to the various options must follow directly after the related option and be separated by at least one space or tab.
- Command line options requiring a file name parameter must include the file name. File names can specify an absolute or a UNC path.
Absolute path example:
"C:\DNA Director\AutoDNA.exe"
UNC path example:
\\MyServer\MyVol\DNA Director\AutoDNA.exe
- Variables can be used in file paths and file names. Variable substitutions must be surrounded by the percentage characters (%). DMM Director replaces the variable with the corresponding value. Variables are case-insensitive strings and can be the system's environmental variables, such as WINDIR, or special CA DMM variables.
