Create a DNA File

If you want to migrate the settings of the computer where CA DMM is installed, you must create a DNA file containing those settings.

To create a DNA file for your computer

1. Click Next on the Welcome page.

   The Select a DMM Task page appears.

2. Click Create.

   Note: If this is not your first time through the process, the Open a Template File page appears if you have an existing template.

   The Select Settings Welcome page appears.

3. Click Next.

   The Select Users for Migration page appears.

4. Do one of the following:
   • Click Current User if you want to create a DNA file from the settings of the currently logged in user without migrating the user profile account information. See Select System Settings.
   • Click Multiple Users if you want to create a DNA file from the settings of one or more users defined to the computer including migrating user profile account information. See Select Users for Migration.
