Install the CCS FCI Plug-in

First, copy the FCI installation files to each Windows file server hosting files that you want to classify. Then manually install the CCS FCI plug-in and specify the primary CCs server.

To install the FCI plug-in

  1. Verify that the primary CCS server is already installed.
  2. Verify that the File Services role is installed on the target file server.

    This server hosts the files that you want to classify.

  3. Verify that Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 is installed on the target file server.
  4. Locate the \CCSClients\Microsoft FCI Integration folder in the CCS distribution image.
  5. Copy the \Microsoft FCI Integration folder to a temporary location on the target file server.
  6. Browse to the \Microsoft FCI Integration folder on the target file server and run install.cmd.

    The CCS FCI plug-in installer starts in a command window.

  7. Enter the following information:
    Installation directory

    Specify where you want to install the CCS FCI plug-in.

    CCS host

    Enter the fully qualified domain name or the IP address of the primary CCS server. Or type 'localhost' if the primary CCS server is installed on the local file server.

    The installation runs automatically.

  8. Repeat steps 2 through 7 on each Windows file server hosting files that you want to classify.
