Tracking ID 646-91: Cannot Immediately Add Policies to New Custom Class

In the current version of CA DLP, when you create a custom policy class in the Administration console, you cannot add any custom policies to the new class until you close and then reopen the Manage Custom Policies dialog.

For the workaround, follow these steps:

1. In the Administration console, click Tools, Manage Custom Policies.

   The Manage Custom Policies dialog appears.

2. Click the New Policy Class button.

   The New Policy Class dialog appears.

3. Enter the name and a description of the new policy class.
4. Click OK to save the new policy class and return to the Manage Custom Policies dialog.

   When you click the new policy class, the New Policy button remains disabled.

5. Click OK to close the Manage Custom Policies dialog.
6. Repeat step 1 to reopen the Manage Custom Policies dialog.
7. Click the new policy class that you created in steps 3 and 4.

   This time the New Policy button is enabled and you can add new policies to the new custom policy class.
