Secure Communication Based on SSL Authentication

The Digital Safe archive provides a Web service for communication with third party applications such as the CA DLP Digital Safe Adapter. Data requests and responses sent between Digital Safe and the Digital Safe Adapter use SSL.

SSL Certificates

To eliminate man-in-the-middle attacks on the SSL link, certificates are used to verify the identity of the Digital Safe archive server. Once its identity is established, secure encryption/decryption is performed on all data passing between the Digital Safe Adapter and the Digital Safe archive.
