Manually Install the SSL Certificate

When the Digital Safe adapter connects, as the client, to the ZANTAZ Digital Safe web service, the server sends it a certificate which the adapter uses to verify the server’s identity.

Depending on the type of certificate used to verify the identity of the Digital Safe archive server, you may need to manually add this certificate to the ‘Trusted Root Certification Authorities’ store.

Specifically, if Windows displays a Security Alert dialog when you first enable CA DLP integration with a Digital Safe archive (for example, the alert may identify a problem with the ZANTAZ site’s security certificate), then you need to add this certificate.

To manually install the SSL certificate

  1. View the certificate. You can do this directly from the Security Alert dialog.
  2. In the resulting dialog, choose to install the certificate. This launches the Certificate Import Wizard.
  3. In the Certificate Store wizard screen, place the certificate in the ‘Trusted Root Certification Authorities’ store.
