To acknowledge an event
Alternatively, click the right mouse button on the event to be acknowledged, then choose the Acknowledge Selected Event from the popup menu.
Acknowledging an event resends that event to all running actions using the IPC mechanism. See Chapter 10, “Understanding ENS,” for more information about the IPC mechanism.
If you are running Eventlist interactively, the event's source field is changed to “user” when the event is acknowledged. At the same time, the Acknowledged by field in your Eventlist window is updated with your username. If the event is also sent to other users, and they are displaying the Acknowledged by field in their Eventlist window, then your username will also be displayed in that window.
If Eventlist is running as an action routine, then the display name is used instead of the username to update the Acknowledged by field.
You can also set up Eventlist so that the event is removed from the display when it is acknowledged (see the section, Changing the Way Eventlist Works, earlier in this chapter).
