Modifying and Deleting Filters

Before you can modify or delete entries in the configuration database, you must have the Edit Configuration data privilege set in your user entry.

Modifying Filters

To modify a filter, choose the Edit, Filter Show/Modify submenu, and then follow the instructions for adding a filter shown in the section, Adding Filters, earlier in this chapter. You can modify only a subset of the filter attributes. The attributes that can be modified are:

• Information
• Interval
• Event Interval
• System names
• Group names
• Event names
• Class names
• Event priorities
• Action names

If you want to modify more than one filter, then click Apply instead of OK This displays the Filter dialog box, but does not close the Select Filter dialog box. When you have changed the filter, you can now select another filter from the Select Filter dialog box.

Deleting Filters

To delete a filter, choose the Edit, Filter Delete submenu, select the filter to delete, then click OK.

If you want to delete more than one filter, then click Apply instead of OK. The Select Filter dialog box is not closed, and you can now select another filter to delete.
