Modifying and Deleting Filters

Before you can modify or delete entries in the configuration database, you must have the Edit Configuration data privilege set in your user entry.

To modify a filter, use the modify filter command. You can change only a subset of the filter attributes. The attributes that can be modified are:

• Information
• Interval
• Event Interval
• System names
• Group names
• Event names
• Class names
• Event priorities
• Action names

The steps for modifying a filter are similar to those described in the previous section, Adding Filters and Dispatches.

To delete a filter, use the delete filter command.
