Add Scans

To add a scan

1. Start the configuration editor:

   $ CONSOLE EDIT /INTERFACE=character_cell
   

2. Enter:

   CM Edit> add scan
   

3. Enter the name of the scan:

   Scan name:
   

4. Enter the information for the scan:

   Information:
   

5. Enter the names of events to be added to the scan:

   Enter event names to be scanned for. (? = list) 
    Event name (CR=end:) un*x security
    Event name (CR=end:)
   

6. Enter the names of additional scans to be added to the scan:

   Enter the names of additional scan definitions. (?=list)
    Scan (CR=end:) Interactive Logins
    Scan (CR=end:) Non-interactive Logins
    Scan (CR=end:)
   

7. You are asked whether you wish to add the scan:

   OK to add? [Y/N] (Y:) Y
   

The following is an example of what you see on your screen:

Database contains NO verification errors

CM Edit> add scan
Scan name: u*ix security
Information: u*ix security events
Enter event names to be scanned for. (? = list) crash
 Enter name (CR=end:) un*x security
 Enter name (CR=end:)
Enter the names of additional scan definitions. (?=list)
 Scan (CR=end:) Interactive Logins
 Scan (CR=end:) Non-interactive Logins
 Scan (CR=end:)

OK to add? [Y/N] (Y:) Y

Continue to add further scans in the same way.
