(Database) Update Database Password in CA Process Automation

Update the database password in CA Process Automation.

Note: Ensure that you perform these steps in both PAM1 and PAM2.

Follow these steps:

  1. Stop the orchestrator services. Click Start, Administrative Tools, Services CA Process Automation Orchestrator, right-click, and click Stop.
  2. Navigate to the path where PAM installation files are located. For example, C:\\Temporary\
  3. Open the folder and double-click Third Party Installation.
  4. Click Next, Select I Accept, Configure Existing Installation, and keep clicking Next.
  5. Provide the location of the second PAM CD when prompted.
  6. Retain the default settings and keep clicking Next until the Verify EEM Settings wizard appears.
  7. Type the CA Process Automation user name and password.

    Note: This login lets you test whether CA EEM is up and running.

  8. Click Next.

    CA Process Automation Domain Database Settings wizard appears.

  9. Type the updated database password in the Password field.
  10. Click Test Database Settings.

    The test runs and a success message appears. If the test fails, then the password change was unsuccessful in the database.

  11. Click Next.
  12. CA Process Automation Domain Runtime Database wizard appears.
  13. Type the updated database password in the Password field.
  14. Click Test Database Settings.

    The test runs and a success message appears. If the test fails, then the password change was unsuccessful in the database.

  15. Click Next.
  16. CA Process Automation Reporting Database Settings wizard appears.
  17. Type the updated database password in the Password field.
  18. Click Test Database Settings.

    The test runs and a success message appears. If the test fails, then the password change was unsuccessful in the database.

  19. Keep clicking Next and click Finish.
  20. Restart the orchestrator services from Administrative Tools and log in using the new password.

    The database password is updated in CA Process Automation.
