(Database) Update Database Password in CA Process Automation
Update the database password in CA Process Automation.
Note: Ensure that you perform these steps in both PAM1 and PAM2.
Follow these steps:
- Stop the orchestrator services. Click Start, Administrative Tools, Services CA Process Automation Orchestrator, right-click, and click Stop.
- Navigate to the path where PAM installation files are located. For example, C:\\Temporary\
- Open the folder and double-click Third Party Installation.
- Click Next, Select I Accept, Configure Existing Installation, and keep clicking Next.
- Provide the location of the second PAM CD when prompted.
- Retain the default settings and keep clicking Next until the Verify EEM Settings wizard appears.
- Type the CA Process Automation user name and password.
Note: This login lets you test whether CA EEM is up and running.
- Click Next.
CA Process Automation Domain Database Settings wizard appears.
- Type the updated database password in the Password field.
- Click Test Database Settings.
The test runs and a success message appears. If the test fails, then the password change was unsuccessful in the database.
- Click Next.
- CA Process Automation Domain Runtime Database wizard appears.
- Type the updated database password in the Password field.
- Click Test Database Settings.
The test runs and a success message appears. If the test fails, then the password change was unsuccessful in the database.
- Click Next.
- CA Process Automation Reporting Database Settings wizard appears.
- Type the updated database password in the Password field.
- Click Test Database Settings.
The test runs and a success message appears. If the test fails, then the password change was unsuccessful in the database.
- Keep clicking Next and click Finish.
- Restart the orchestrator services from Administrative Tools and log in using the new password.
The database password is updated in CA Process Automation.
