Add New CA Spectrum Model Types

Add new model types to CA Spectrum landscape to create models.

Follow these steps:

  1. Click Start, Spectrum Control Panel as the Initial Spectrum user.

    Note: If prompted for a server, select the server where you want to add the model.

  2. Click Stop SpectroSERVER.
  3. Click Yes, in the confirmation dialog.

    Note: Wait until the status is INACTIVE before proceeding. Leave the Spectrum Control Panel open.

  4. Copy Model.Attribute.Extensions.xml to the SS folder.
    1. Navigate to the model_extension directory in the Spectrum Content Directory.
    2. Select and copy the Model.Attribute.Extensions.xml file.
    3. Navigate to the {SpectrumInstallation directory}\SS folder and paste the Model.Attribute.Extensions.xml file.
  5. Use dbtool to import Model.Attribute.Extensions.xml
    1. Open a command prompt.
    2. Change to the SS directory under the Spectrum root directory.
    3. Run ..\SS-Tools\dbtool import Model.Attribute.Extensions.xml.
  6. Return to the Spectrum Control Panel and click Start SpectroSERVER.

    Note: Wait until the status is RUNNING. The status may take several minutes to change.

    The new CA Spectrum model type is added.
