Discover CA CSDP Components in CA Spectrum
This procedure discovers and configures the CA CSDP server components in Spectrum.
Follow these steps:
- Log in to CA Spectrum OneClick console.
- From the menu bar, click Tools, Utilities, and Discovery Console.
The Discovery Console window opens.
- Right-click Global Configurations.
- Enter the name of the configuration, select the landscape, and click OK.
- Expand Global Configurations, and select the new configuration.
- Enter the hostname and IP address for each CA CSDP component, and click Add.
- Set the SNMP Community String.
- Click the Discover button.
The CA CSDP components are discovered and display under the Modeling tab.
- Close the Discovery Console window.
The discovered hostnames and ip addresses display under the Universe Folder.
- Perform the remaining steps for each discovered host.
- Expand the Spectrum landscape, expand Universe, and click the Host IP Address.
- From the right panel, click the Attributes tab.
- Double-click the following attributes:
- USER_AssetID
- Model_Name
- zService
- Security_String
The attributes display in the right pane.
- Select the Edit button above the selected attributes.
A window opens for editing the attributes.
- Un-check the No Change boxes, and enter the following values:
- USER_AssetID: SOI_IMPORT_CSDP
- Model_Name: Hostname
- zService: CSDP.MonitoringService
- Security_String: ServiceProvider
- Click OK.
- From the Attribute Edit Results window, click the Close button.
The CA CSDP components are configured in Spectrum.
