Discover CA CSDP Components in CA Spectrum

This procedure discovers and configures the CA CSDP server components in Spectrum.

Follow these steps:

  1. Log in to CA Spectrum OneClick console.
  2. From the menu bar, click Tools, Utilities, and Discovery Console.

    The Discovery Console window opens.

  3. Right-click Global Configurations.
  4. Enter the name of the configuration, select the landscape, and click OK.
  5. Expand Global Configurations, and select the new configuration.
  6. Enter the hostname and IP address for each CA CSDP component, and click Add.
  7. Set the SNMP Community String.
  8. Click the Discover button.

    The CA CSDP components are discovered and display under the Modeling tab.

  9. Close the Discovery Console window.

    The discovered hostnames and ip addresses display under the Universe Folder.

  10. Perform the remaining steps for each discovered host.
  11. Expand the Spectrum landscape, expand Universe, and click the Host IP Address.
  12. From the right panel, click the Attributes tab.
  13. Double-click the following attributes:

    The attributes display in the right pane.

  14. Select the Edit button above the selected attributes.

    A window opens for editing the attributes.

  15. Un-check the No Change boxes, and enter the following values:
  16. Click OK.
  17. From the Attribute Edit Results window, click the Close button.

    The CA CSDP components are configured in Spectrum.
