Options for Files in the CMP File

The following install and removal options can be assigned to files in the CMP File:

File option Version dependent installation Version-dependent File Installation (version check)

A version check of this file is performed during installation on the target computer. As a result of this check, a previously installed version of this file is overwritten, only if the file to be installed is a later version or the same version.

File option Reference counter-dependent uninstall Reference Counter-dependent File Removal

On the target computer, a Reference Counter for this file is incremented by 1 for each installation and decremented by 1 for each uninstall. The file is deleted only if the counter resets to zero during uninstall.
