You can synchronize new issues and modifications to existing issues between JIRA and CA Clarity Agile based on the following information predefined in JIRA:
If you delete an issue in JIRA, the issue is also deleted from CA Clarity Agile after the sync job runs. The reverse is also true.
The terminology in JIRA, and in CA Clarity Agile and CA Clarity Requirements varies slightly for the same object. An assignee in JIRA is known as an owner in CA Clarity Agile and CA Clarity Requirements.
Synchronize between the CA Clarity Agile issue owner and JIRA issue assignee. Create or update a linked issue in CA Clarity Agile and select an owner for it. The same owner is reflected in the Assignee column on the Issue Navigator page in JIRA. Any updates or comments the owner makes on the issue in CA Clarity Agile are also reflected in JIRA in the issue details. The reverse is also true. The same owner or assignee is synchronized between CA Clarity Agile and JIRA using their email address.
Owners and assignees are linked between CA Clarity Agile and JIRA using email address. If a matching email address is found, the assignees are linked to owners.
If a matching email address is missing, the assignees are not linked to the owners.
If multiple JIRA users are found with the same email address, an error is reported in the logs. Once the conflict is resolved, the assignees are linked to owners. CA Clarity Agilesupports multiple owners, but on synchronization with JIRA issues, only one owner is linked to the JIRA issue assignee.
