Define Template Library Settings

You can define parameters that apply to the Template Library.

Click the Template Library sub-option to display the Template Library Settings page.

Follow these steps:

1. Select the Lifecycle check box to enable the usage of versions and statuses in Contract Templates and Service Definitions.

   Important: Enabling lifecycle management is an irreversible operation.

2. Select the Audit Trail check box to enable audit trail capabilities in Contract Templates and Service Definitions.

   Note: If there were contract templates and service definitions defined prior to enabling the audit trail feature, audit trail is reported as of the moment of enabling for existing and new entities.

3. In Workflow, select to Enable, Enforce or Disable workflow management in contract templates and service definitions.

   Note: This parameter is disabled if the Lifecycle check box is not selected.

4. In Effective dates verification, set the system behavior when the validation of effective dates fails during the creation of a contract from a contract template or service definition.

   The possible values are:

   • Warn: A warning message pops up stating the failure and enables to continue or not.
   • Error: An error message pops up stating the failure and the operation is discontinued.
   • Do Nothing: No error or warning messages pop up.

   Note: This parameter is disabled if the Lifecycle check box is not selected.

5. In Contract Parties verification, set the system behavior when the validation of contract parties fails during the creation of a contract from a contract template or service definition.

   The possible values are:

   • Warn: A warning message pops up stating the failure and enables to continue or not.
   • Error: An error message pops up stating the failure and the operation is discontinued.
   • Do Nothing: No error or warning messages pop up.
6. In Security Mode, select if restrictions can be placed on the Template Libraries, contract templates and service definitions or not.
