Define Alert Settings
You can define parameters that apply to the alerts sent by the system. Note: Other features such as e-mail service comparison reports, and contract approvals use email settings from this page.
Click the Alerts option to display the Alert Settings page.
When defining alert settings, define general parameters that apply to all alerts. In addition, you can configure settings that apply to any alerts sent using e-mail or SMS.
Follow these steps:
- In General, define the general settings:
- In Ignore events older than, enter or select the number of minutes after which events are ignored and alerts are not issued.
- In the Minimal time allowed between alerts field, enter or select the minimum number of minutes between alerts.
- In Default or Minimal Time Between Alerts, enter or select the default number of minutes that the system waits between issuing alerts. Users can modify this value to create an alert profile, subject to the settings in the previous field.
- Open E-mail to define the e-mail settings:
- In the Server address, enter the address for the e-mail server.
- In Address of alerts system, enter the address to be placed in the From field of all email alerts.
- In Alerts system sender name, enter the name to be placed in the From field of all email alerts.
