Parameterized Booklets
You can use booklet parameters to create generic booklets to be generated for different instances. Moreover, the same report can be reused in multiple booklets as the report content is also filtered by the same parameters.
The user who creates the booklet may define any of the following fields to be parameters: Contract Party, Contract, Service and Time Range.
The user who generates the booklet is asked to select a value for each field defined as parameter.
For example, instead of creating one booklet to each contract, it is possible to define one parameterized booklet in which the Contract field is defined as parameter. When generating the booklet the user will be asked to select to which contract he would like to generate the booklet. The value of the parameterized fields can be passed to the reports comprising the booklet; reports for that specific contract will then appear in the generated booklet.
Note: If the Contract field was defined as a parameter, the user who generates the report will also be asked to select the value of the Contract Party field. The available values for the Contract field will depend on the value selected for the Contract Party field.
