Editing Booklet Properties
You can modify booklet details such as the booklet name, description, the template used for the booklet and so on. You can also add and modify booklet schedules.
Editing booklet properties requires report developer permissions.
For more information on booklet scheduling, see Scheduling a Booklet and Removing a Schedule From a Report.
To edit booklet properties
The Booklet Details dialog box opens.
Note: When editing a Booklet with WordTM the resulting RTF files sometime become dirty and can produce an error during Booklet generation. In this case you must remove the formatting introduced by WordTM. There are many ways of doing this. Two are outlined below.
Open the Word RTF file; copy the contents to a text editor. Copy the contents from the text editor and replace the contents of the Word RTF file with these. Save the RTF file.
Open the Word RTF file. In WordTM 2003: Select the text. Click Format, Styles and Formatting, Clear Formatting. This removes all formatting and leaves plain text. Save the file (as RTF) and close it.
In WordTM 2007: Select the text. Click Home, Quick Styles, Clear Formatting. This removes all formatting and leaves plain text. Save the file (as RTF) and close it.
Preventing the Problem
The cause of the problem is the WordTM Smart Tag function. Turn Smart Tag off on all client machines that are used to edit RTF templates.
In Word 2003: Go to Tools, AutoCorrect Options, mart Tags tab.
In Word 2007: Click the Microsoft Office Button, Word Options, Proofing, AutoCorrect Options.
Next, click Smart Tags in the AutoCorrect dialog box. Clear the option Label text with Smart Tags and click OK. This will turn off Smart Tags and prevent further corruption of the RTF files. The link <
