Select Entities Step
In this step, you search and select source entities to import.
Follow these steps:
- Search according to the following search criteria:
- Search For: Enter any string (such as the entity name) into the "Search for" field and click the Search button. You can use wild cards as part of the search.
- Entity type: Select the required entity types for transfer from the drop-down list of supported types (or select the "All Entities" option to select all entities).
- Entity Changed: When this check box is checked, only entities that have changed in the source are displayed. The box is checked by default.
- Change Date: Enter the date (or range) on which the change was made. Options are: last x days (hours/days/weeks/months). The default is null (not a search criterion).
A list of entities that correspond to the criteria display in the Available Entities pane.
- Mark the check boxes of the entities to transfer; use the transfer arrows to move entities to (or from) the transfer pane.
- When necessary, mark the check box “Transfer contracts/templates with full resource structure” to transfer all resources and resource groups (and their children) that the contracts and templates require and include:
- All Resources and Resource Groups that belong to a Service and that are mentioned in "Registration by Service" or in "Registration by Service and Contract Party".
- All children (Resources and Resource Groups) of each of the Resource Groups.
Note: Resources and resource groups that are explicitly listed in the contract are transferred even when the check box is not checked.
Note: The resources that transfer, include all Resources and Resource Groups that correspond, individually, to the above and sometimes include unnecessary "children" and "branches".
- Example 1: Transfer a contract with registration by "Contract Party and Service". When you transfer full resource structure, you also transfer all Resources and "Resource Groups" associated with Service alone, and with Contract Party alone. Sometimes, unneeded resources and resource groups on the "tree" are also transferred.
- Example 2: Registration by Service. Resources transfer even when they are not within the contract date range.
Note: Only entities that you move to the transfer pane (right side) are imported to the local environment.

Set the maximum number of displayed entities
To improve performance when searching for transfer entities, the Content Transfer Wizard enables you to limit the maximum number of resulting search entities to display. The number can be any integer. The default maximum is 100.
Note: When the number of entities equals the maximum, the possibility exists that additional entities matching the search criteria exist but do not display.
To change the maximum number of entities displayed:
- Go to Administration, Site Settings, Advanced.
The Advanced Settings page opens.
- Go to Content Transfer.
The Content Transfer parameters display.
- Click
next to the Content Transfer Search Limit parameter.
- Type the value you want to be the maximum number of entities that are displayed and click
. The maximum number of entries that can display on the Content Transfer Wizard search page updates to the number you enter.
Note: When the resulting number of entities is greater than the maximum number permitted, you can narrow the search criteria to reduce the number of resulting entities. Then, transfer the entities and repeat the search using the remaining search criteria.
