Start a Content Transfer Job

The Content Transfer Wizard is the tool used to transfer CA Business Service Insight objects into your current (local) environment from a different CA Business Service Insight environment (the source). In addition, the wizard enables defining source environments and monitoring the status of transfer jobs.

To start a transfer job:

  1. Login to CA Business Service Insight on the local environment. This is the environment that receives the entities from the source.
  2. Click Administration, Content Transfer, Content Transfer Wizard. The Welcome step opens.
  3. Perform steps described in the Welcome step and click Next. The Select Entities step opens.
  4. Perform steps described in the Select Entities step and click Next. The Conflict Resolution step opens.
  5. Perform steps described in the Conflict Resolution step and click Next. The Summary step opens.
  6. Perform steps described in the Summary step and click Finish. The transfer job is created.

    The job is executed asynchronously.
