You can create a Service Level Template from scratch.
- In the Template Library page on the left pane, click a Template Library or Template Folder under which you want to create the Service Level Template.
- On the toolbar, click
and select Service Level Template, Add New.

On the right pane, click Add New, Service Level Template, Add New.
The Service Level Template Details page opens.
- In Name, type a name for the Service Level Template.
- In Description, enter a description for the Service Level Template.
- In Services, select the Service in the Service Level Template (if available) from the Available Service list and click
.
The Service moves to the Included Services list. Select as many Services as required.
If the Service that you want to add is not included in the list of available Services, click Add New. For more information, see Adding a Service.
- In Effective, enter the start date/time and the end date/time of the Service Level Template.
- If the Workflow option is set to Enable or Enforce, enter the email addresses:
- In the "To Be Approved By" field, enter the email address of the authority who must approve the Service Level Template.
- In the "Reply to", enter the email address of the recipient of the approval.
- In the Time Zone field, select a time zone for the contract from the list.
- Fill in the custom attribute fields, if exist, as required.
These attributes display if they were created in the Framework tab.
Note: A Service Level Template's custom attributes are not accessible from the Business Logic of the Service Level Template's metrics.
Note: A Service Level Template's custom attributes are copied to a duplicated Service Level Template.
Note: Updating a custom attribute value does not cause metric recalculation.
Note: Updating a custom attribute value inside the Service Level Template is indicated in the Service Level Template's Audit Trail tab.
- Click Apply.
A notification dialog box opens.
- Click OK.
- In the Notes tab, enter notes about the Service Level Template. For more information, see Notes Tab.
- Use the Parameters tab to add parameters. For more information, see Parameters Tab.
- Use the Timeslots tab to add a timeslot. For more information, see Timeslots Tab.
- Use the Audit Trail tab to view the Service Level Template's audit trail. For more information, see Audit Trail Tab.
- Use the Attachments tab to view or define attachments. For more information, see Attachments Tab.
- Use the relevant metric type section to add metrics. For more information, see Modifying a Metric.
- Go to the General tab, click Save.
The Service Level Template is created and displays under the Template Library or Template Folder it was created. If the Workflow option was set, an email is sent to the approver.
