Customize User Preferences

The features that you are able to access in CA Business Service Insight depends on your user privileges and how the administrator configured the application. The User Preferences page enables you to customize some user preferences.

Follow these steps:

  1. In the Main Menu, click Settings under your user name/Company Name. The User Preferences page opens.
  2. Use the following table to fill in the page.

Change your password

  • In the Old password field, enter your current password.
  • In the New password field, enter your new password.

In Password verification, enter your new password. Passwords must be between three and ten characters and cannot contain spaces. Passwords are case-sensitive.

  • Click Save.

Specify the time for closing notification messages.

  • In Notification messages, click Close after and specify the time (in seconds) after which the notification messages are closed automatically.
  • Click Save.

Not display the notification messages

  • In Notification messages, click Don't show.
  • Click Save.

Select a time zone

  • In Time Zone, select a new time zone. The time zone determines the current time displayed in the application.
  • Click Save.

Set the default open page

In Default open page, select the page from the list of options available in the drop-down list (Available options are defined according to roles and permissions).

Click Home pages list to select a page that was created in the Dashboard and set it as the Home page.

Click Save.

Set the preferred interface language

  • In Preferred language, select the interface language that you want to work in from the drop-down list. CA Business Service Insight is currently available in English, German, French, Spanish, and Italian.
  • Click Save.

Set the preferred culture

  • In Preferred culture, select the culture that you want from the drop-down list.
  • Click Save.
