Verify Windows Powershell Configuration

You verify the configuration and set up the Powershell execution policy for VMware VDA powershell scripts to enable a communication with the VMware View server.

Follow these steps:

  1. Click Library, click the CA ASC VMware VDI folder, select Configuration, and then go to the Contents section.
  2. Right-click SetupPowerShellAndPowerCLI Process and click Edit.

    A form opens.

  3. Update the PowerShellPath variable and click OK.

    For example, C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\powershell.exe.

  4. Click Start from the menu bar.

    The Monitor Process Instance dialog opens to display the process flow.

  5. Click Yes.

    The process opens in a new window.

  6. Verify that all the tasks have a green checkmark next to them.
  7. Return to the Library tab.
  8. Right-click TestViewPowerCLI Process, and click Edit.

    A web page opens.

  9. Click Start from the menu bar.

    The Monitor Process Instance dialog opens to display the process flow.

  10. Click Yes.

    The process opens in a new page.

  11. Verify that all the tasks have a green checkmark next to them.

    The PowerShell configuration verification is complete.
