Install CA Process Automation Connector for AWS

Install the CA Process Automation connector on the domain orchestrator. Configure the AWS Module from the CA Process Automation Client.

The CA Automation Suite for Clouds uses the service cartridge to communicate with and deliver the services that are offered by Amazon Web Services.

The AWS connector software has a standalone installer. Obtain the AWS Connector installation file for the Microsoft Windows server on which CA Process Automation is installed.

Follow these steps:

Verify that the orchestrator selected to install CA Process Automation is the domain orchestrator.

1. Log in to your computer with the CA Process Automation domain orchestrator. Use the same credentials that you used to install the domain orchestrator.
   • In a clustered configuration, the first orchestrator that is installed is the domain orchestrator.
   • In a nonclustered configuration with multiple orchestrators, the first orchestrator that is installed is the domain orchestrator.

     Note: To confirm that an orchestrator is the domain orchestrator, examine the setting for oasis.server.isPrimary in the OasisConfig.properties file. Verify that oasis.server.isPrimary=true.

2. Stop the domain orchestrator.
3. Copy the installer to the target host where the domain orchestrator resides.
4. Run Connector_Installer_windows_64.exe

   The installer Introduction page opens.

5. Click Next.

   The License Agreement page opens.

6. Scroll to the bottom of the License Agreement page. Accept the terms of the License Agreement, and click Next.

   The Select CA IT PAM Installation Directory page opens.

   Note: This page displays the default installation directory for CA Process Automation.

7. Perform one of the following tasks to specify the installation folder, click Next:
   • Accept the default.
   • Enter the name of a new installation folder.
   • Click Browse and select an installation folder.

   The Choose Connectors to Install/Update page opens.

8. Select AWS Connector, click Next.

   The connector installation begins.

9. Click Finish to complete the installation.
10. Restart the Primary Domain Orchestrator.

    The newly installed AWS module is not available immediately on any secondary orchestrator. The mirroring interval for the secondary orchestrator determines how quickly the module becomes available.

11. After all components have been mirrored, stop and restart each orchestrator and agent to enable the new module.

    The PAM connector for AWS is installed successfully.
