Import the Service Cartridge

Import the service cartridge (also known as the content pack) in to your CA Automation Suite for Clouds Foundation installation environment in the CA Service Catalog server.

Follow these steps:

  1. Open the Command Prompt window, change the directory to %USM_HOME%/filestore/contentpacks/CA ASC Amazon Web Services.
  2. Run DeployContentpack.cmd.

    The service cartridge deployment starts and the following prompt appears:

    Please confirm you have already installed the database component
    
  3. Type y at the following prompt to continue.
    Enter y/n if you have already created Database Objects:
    
  4. Type the tenant id at the following prompt:
    [input] Enter the id of the tenant you want to import the content pack into (Required):
    

    For example, Forward Inc.

    Note: The tenant ID is case-sensitive.

    BUILD SUCCESSFUL message appears, on successful deployment. Enter y/n to Create Groups if build is successful.

  5. Type y to continue:

    This script creates the following groups in Active Directory and assigns permissions to the service offerings in CA Service Catalog:

    The service cartridge is deployed.

Note: Perform more steps on all nodes, for installing cartridges that are configured in a clustered mode. Typically, the installation is performed on a single node and contents like services, forms, events, and reports are reflected on all nodes. However, files like plugin jars, requestshared.xml, must be copied manually to all the other nodes of the cluster.

Follow these steps:

  1. Extract cartridge-name.zip to the %USM_HOME%\filestore\content-packs\ and open the cartridge-name folder.
  2. Open the prescripts folder and run the cartridge-name prescript.bat file as an Administrator.
  3. Copy the contents of the following folders:
  4. Restart the CA Service View service on the Node.

Verify Service Cartridge Post Import

Once you have imported the service cartridge (also known as the content pack), verify that the import was successful.

Follow these steps:

  1. Log in to CA Service Catalog as an administrator.
  2. Select Service Builder, Configuration.
  3. Click Content Packs.
  4. Select the content pack that you imported.
  5. Verify that the following items exist in the service cartridge.

    You verified that the service cartridge has imported successfully.
