Configure Request Management in CA Service Catalog

You can configure how the CA Service Catalog must handle the multiple requests added in a single cart when the requests handling is of different nature.

Follow these steps:

  1. Log in to CA Service Catalog as an administrator.
  2. Click Catalog, Configuration, Options, Request Management Configuration.

    A page opens.

  3. Change the configuration values for the following properties and click Update Configuration.
    Allow Discrete Handling for Reject

    Yes - Specifies that rejection of one of the requests in the cart does not affect the actual request which has multiple requests.

    No - Specifies when you reject one item in cart the entire call is rejected.

    Select the check box to set the value to Yes and click Update Configuration.

    Allow Discrete Handling of Service Options After

    Submitted - Specifies that all the service options must be in the Submitted status to complete start the request.

    Pending Fulfillment - Specifies that all the service options must be in the Pending Fulfillment status to complete start the request.

    Completed - Specifies that all the service options must be in the Completed status to complete start the request.

    Change the property value to Submitted and click Update Configuration.

    Allow Discrete Request Life Cycle After

    Submitted - Request in the cart that does not need approval is processed immediately.

    Pending Fulfillment - All the requests must be in Pending Fulfillment status to start the request life cycle for an individual request.

    Completed - All the individual requests must be in completed status to complete the request life cycle.

    Change the property value to Submitted and click Update Configuration.

    You have configured the request management in CA Service Catalog.
