Add Secondary Owners to Local Administrator Group

To add secondary owners to local administrator group in provisioned VM during reservation process, update the AD Login Parameters in ASC_GlobalDataset.

Note: This procedure is applicable to windows platform only, adding secondary users as local administrators to non-windows platform is not supported.

Follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the CA Process Automation web client.
  2. Click Library tab.
  3. Click the CA ASC folder.
  4. Double-click ASC_GlobalDataset, and click Check Out.
  5. Click AD Login Parameters CHANGE ME and then update the following information:
    domainName

    Specifies the name of the domain.

    domainAdmin

    Specifies the name of the domain user with administrative privileges on the domain.

    domainAdminPassword

    Specifies the domain administrator password.

    isDomainAdminPasswordProvided

    Specifies whether domain administrator password is provided or not.

    Default: False

    Change it to True when the domain administrator password is specified.

  6. Click Pam Parameters CHANGE ME and complete the following details:
    pamMachineAdmin

    Specifies the CA Process Automation machine administrator user name.

    Default: Administrator

    pamMachineAdminPassword

    Specifies the CA Process Automation machine administrator password.

  7. Click Save, Check In.
