View and manage the list of monitoring devices, including the CA Standard Monitor, CA Virtual Systems Monitor, and CA Multi-Port Monitor.
Specifies the name of the server where the monitoring device is installed.
Specifies the IP address of the server where the monitoring device is installed.
Specifies the type of monitoring device:
Indicates a CA Standard Monitor or CA Virtual Systems Monitor.
Indicates a CA Multi-Port Monitor.
Lists the monitor feed names from which the monitor is receiving response time data. The default feed names are:
Indicates the CA Standard Monitor or CA Multi-Port Monitor receives packet digests from a NI GigaStor.
Indicates a logical port on a CA Multi-Port Monitor that receives mirrored packets.
Indicates a CA Standard Monitor or CA Virtual Systems Monitor that receives mirrored packets.
Indicates the management console receives metric digest files from a Cisco NAM.
Indicates the monitoring device receives Steelhead-optimized packets from a Steelhead appliance.
Indicates the monitoring device receives packet digests from a Cisco WAE device.
Displays the status of the monitoring device:
The monitoring device is receiving performance data from any of its monitor feeds.
Indicates the management console is not currently receiving performance data from the monitoring device, but can contact the IP address of the monitoring device.
Indicates the management console cannot contact the management IP address on the monitoring device.
Indicates that the management console has never contacted the monitoring device, and that you need to synchronize the monitoring device to monitor performance based on the client networks, server subnets, and applications that are currently defined on the management console. If necessary, use the Set Console command to update the monitoring device to communicate with the management console.
Indicates that packet monitoring is disabled and the monitoring device is not receiving digest files from its assigned monitoring devices.
Displays the date and time of the most recent 5-minute interval during which the monitoring device provided application response time data. Keep in mind that CA Application Delivery Analysis reporting is at a 5-minute granularity, so it is normal to see a time stamp that is up to 5 minutes old.

Refreshes the contents ADA Monitoring Devices List.
Starts data monitoring on all monitoring devices with a status of Stopped. While the monitor is Stopped, the monitor does not process response time metrics from any of its monitor feeds.
If the management console cannot communicate with a monitor, log onto the CA Standard Monitor to start the CA ADA Monitor service.
Stops data monitoring on all monitoring devices with a status of Running. While the monitor is Stopped, the monitor does not process response time metrics from any of its monitor feeds.
Synchronizes all monitoring devices to monitor performance data based on the client networks, server subnets, and applications that are currently defined on the management console.
Updates all monitoring devices to communicate with the management console.
View and manage the list of NI GigaStor monitoring devices.
Specifies the name of the server where the monitoring device is installed.
Specifies the IP address of the server on which the monitoring device is installed.
Specifies the IP address of the CA Standard Monitor or CA Multi-Port Monitor to which the NI GigaStor is assigned.
Displays the status of the NI GigaStor.

) MenuUse the blue gear (
) menu to perform basic operations on all of the NI GigaStor monitoring devices. To perform a basic operation on a particular NI GigaStor, click the Edit (
) icon to edit a NI GigaStor:
Start the Connector. While the Connector has a Running status, it sends packet digest files to its assigned monitor for management console reports.
Stop the Connector. While the Connector has a Stopped status, the NI GigaStor continues to write packets to disk, but the Connector does not send packet digest files to its assigned monitor. Resulting data gaps in management console reports can be resolved by viewing the actual data on the NI GigaStor using Observer Expert.
Synchronize the NI GigaStor to monitor application performance based on the client networks, server subnets, and application ports that are currently defined on the management console.
View and manage the list of Cisco NAM monitoring devices.
Specifies the name of the server where the monitoring device is installed.
Specifies the IP address of the server on which the monitoring device is installed.
Specifies the IP address of the management console to which the Cisco NAM is assigned. At this time, Cisco NAMs must be assigned to the management console.
Displays the date and time of the most recent 5-minute interval during which the monitoring device provided application response time data. Keep in mind that CA Application Delivery Analysis reporting is at a 5-minute granularity, so it is normal to see a time stamp that is up to 5 minutes old.
