View Dialogs

The View dialogs display information about a service end point type or appliance. For a type, you can find out about the available connectivity properties, possibly with default values. For an appliance, you can find out the specific connectivity values.

This dialog contains the following tabs:

General

Identifies and describes the object.

Name

Identifies the object.

Type

Indicates whether the object is a type or an appliance. You use a type as the base when you create an appliance.

Parent

(Optional) Identifies the object that was used to create this object.

Description

Describes the object.

Properties or Property Values

Displays object properties.

Name

Identifies the property.

Type

(Service end point types) Identifies the type of value.

  • integer indicates a number.
  • string indicates a text string.
Default

(Service end point types) Displays the default property value that is used when you create a service end point appliance.

Value

(Service end point appliance) Displays the property value for connecting to a specific z/OS resource.

Options

(Service end point types) Indicates whether the property is mandatory. An exclamation icon (!) indicates that a property is mandatory.
