Configuration Options

Besides the command arguments that control the execution or specify server names, new and set commands take configuration options in the form name=value on the command line or in configuration files given to the command with the file=... option. With the exception of the "changeable" options described in the set command, these options apply only to installing a new grid. They are described in the following sections in detail. Note that when changing parameters with aldo set, they do not necessarily take effect immediately. Upon completion of the set command, it will display the actions needed to make the settings take effect, which may include: re-loading Web UI pages, restarting applications, restarting the grid controller or rebooting the entire grid. The Summary of Per-grid Configurable Parameters and When Changes Take Effect topic summarizes all of the configuration parameters with the action needed to make them take effect.
