This hotfix adds support for setting the uuid of an appliance running under Xen on a grid. In order to set a custom uuid for an appliance, modify the class boundary of an appliance to include "uuid=c5ee52a3-1d12-4b85-24d1-c2c47bc723be" under Virtualization, Advanced, Options/Command Line.
Note: The uuid can only be set on the class boundary. If two instances of a class are started with same uuid on the same physical server, the second instance will not start.
Applicability:
hf9193 is an optional hotfix for CA AppLogic 3.7.14, 3.5.19 and 3.5.224. This hotfix modifies files on the grid servers. This hotfix takes effect immediately upon successful installation (no reboot is required). If this hotfix is installed on a grid and afterward a new server is added to the grid, this hotfix is automatically installed on the newly added server.
