Release date: 2013-9-5
df8448 is an optional distribution hotfix for CA AppLogic 3.7.14.
Currently, when a new server is added to a grid, the BFC reapplies all hotfixes that are already applied to the grid (so the hotfixes are applied to the newly added server). This includes hotfixes that update the grid controller which only need to be applied once and not every time a new server is added to the grid. df8448 updates aldo-fix (the hotfix application script) such that hotfixes which update the grid controller that are already applied to a grid are not reapplied when a new server is added to the grid. This change is necessary as some hotfixes may fail to apply to the grid leaving a newly added server without all of the proper hotfixes applied.
Note: In contrast to a normal hotfix that is applied to a CA AppLogic grid after it is created, a distribution hotfix is applied to the CA AppLogic distribution image used to create grids. Because this is a distribution hotfix, the installation procedure is different than a standard hotfix. Therefore, this hotfix does not need to be reapplied unless the CA AppLogic 3.7.14 distribution image is re-imported into the BFC.
Applicability:
This hotfix is only for CA AppLogic 3.7.14 distributions.
Installation:
