Quickstart Steps to Perform Post Installation

Follow these steps after you complete the installation process. Before you proceed, review the Installation and Discovery Questions and Answers in this guide to see if any of the questions apply to you.

  1. Log in to the UI (for example, http://10.254.254.2 using "admin" as the username and the password you entered above).
  2. Specify the Backbone ID, Grid IDs, IP Base, Account details, Authentication mode and DNS servers in the Administration section under the General tab.
  3. Create the backbone, external, and power networks in the Administration section, under the Networks tab.
  4. Select a discovery mode (Manual Configuration or Auto Discovery), and specify the MAC addresses of the servers on the Discovery tab.
  5. Turn on discovery.
  6. Power on your grid servers and help ensure those servers appear in the Servers list.
  7. Configure your version download settings.
  8. Import a CA 3Tera AppLogic version.
  9. Create grids from the Grids sections of the user interface.
