Install the CA TM Agent on Linux or Solaris
Use this procedure to create an installation control file which you then use to install the CA TM Agent on client machines running the Linux or Solaris operating system.
To install the CA TM Agent on Linux or Solaris client machines
- On the installation CD, find the appropriate file at config/inoc6<LANG>.icf, where <LANG> is the desired target language.
- Copy this file to a temporary location.
- Open the file with a text editor and make any configuration changes needed for your environment. When the changes are complete, save the file. See the Configure the Installation Control File (Windows) for the minimum configuration settings.
- Copy the inoc6<LANG>.icf and eTrustITM.<platform>.sh files to the client machine.
- Run the following command on the client machine:
./eTrustITM.<platform>.sh -icffile <path to inoc6<LANG>.icf>
(Optional) Use the -s switch to run the installation in silent mode.
Note: This procedure can also be performed on Mac OS X; however, it is more common to use the .dmg file for installation on that platform.
