Users need to have access to the CA XCOM Gateway policy to which the file will be uploaded. Specify the appropriate user permissions for the policy.

The rest of the transfer details can be provided as usual. CA XCOM Data Transport, associated with CA XCOM Gateway, makes web services calls to get the details of policy and the actual path of the staging area on which the file will be stored.
The transmission of data occurs the same as with non-Gateway transfers. This allows the use of standard CA XCOM Data Transport features such as SSL, compression, and checkpoint restarts.
