Create a Real Machine

Although a real machine is a physical machine, it must be defined in CA Workload Automation AE to run jobs or be added to a virtual machine. You can define a real machine using Quick Edit.

Follow these steps:

1. Click Create.

   The Create Object dialog opens.

2. Select the appropriate server from the Server drop-down list and click the Real Machine link.

   The Properties section is displayed with the properties relevant to real machines.

3. Define your machine by doing the following:
   1. Enter a name for the new machine in the Name field.

      Note: The name can contain up to 80 characters.

   2. Complete the fields in each category as appropriate.
4. Click Commit.

   The real machine is saved.
