External View Dependencies Dialog

You can use the External View Dependencies dialog to display a list of all the predecessors and successors for jobs or box jobs contained in the view definition but not retrieved by the view’s current filters. You can access the External View Dependencies dialog from the Views table on the Monitoring page. The name of the selected view is displayed in the dialog heading.

This dialog contains the following field:

Show Dependency Type

Indicates whether to list predecessors or successors in the table.

Default: Predecessor

The table contains the following columns:

Name

Displays the name of a job or box job contained in the view.

Note: To view detailed information about the job, right-click the name of the job or box job contained in the view and select Open Job Details from the pop-up menu.

Server

Displays the name of the server on which the job or box job is defined.

Predecessor/Successor Name

Displays the name of the predecessor or successor, depending on your selection in the Show Dependency Type field, for the job or box job.

Note: To view detailed information about the predecessor or successor job, right-click the name of the job or box job contained in the view and select Open External Job Details from the pop-up menu.

Predecessor/Successor Server

Displays the name of the server where the predecessor or successor, depending on your selection in the Show Dependency Type field, is defined.

This dialog contains the following button:

Close

Closes the dialog.
